Oregon

So I just got back from visiting Ashleigh in Oregon. We had so much fun! We went to downtown Portland the first day and went to Powell Books. It is this bookstore that is the size of an entire city block and has all these different rooms that are coded by different colors according to the genre. Its really cool.

The next day we went shopping and got pedicures and then went to The Cheesecake Factory with Ashleigh's great friends! It was just so fun to get away and relax.

The picture of the toilet handle can only be explained by saying I knew Oregon was a "Go Green" state but I didn't expect that in the stall at the bathroom. It was kind of like "Welcome to Oregon". The best part is that I'm sure the other people in the bathroom were like "Did a flash go off?" But I had to take a picture, I had never seen anything like it :)

Thanks Ash for such a fun time!

Colbie Caillat

So last night was FINALLY the Colbie Caillat concert. She was supposed to come in December but canceled the day before. So last night was finally the night! It was really fun! It was In The Venue which meant we had to stand for like 4 hours but it was worth it. And one of those hours was spent out in the 30 degree weather, that was not fun. But once we were inside, it was a blast.

Her opening act was Trevor Hall. I actually like him better then Colbie. His music is like "reggae-inflected acoustic rock", really cool. I'm not smart enough to add music to my blog so you will have to look him up.

But the whole night was a blast followed by dinner at The Dodo, AMAZING!!!

Multiple Choice Tests

Stand On Soapbox...
I have been in college for almost 4 years. 3 of those were spent in the amazing tundra of Rexburg and for the last 2 semesters I have been at the U of U. When I was in Rexburg there was this great place called the Testing Center where students would go and take Multiple Choice Tests with a #2 pencil and a scantron. Even at the U of U, the past 2 semesters, the instructors issue in-class exams that are Multiple Choice. But this semester I only have one teacher that even has a multiple choice section followed by 2 essay questions. The other ones expect us to memorize the 40 pages of reading they give us every night and then write extensive essays about it 3 weeks later. As you can tell I am very upset about this as I sit and catch up on the reading I procrastinated, yes I do know this is my own fault, and prepare for my first Exam this semester and wonder if anyone else feels this way?

Last Night...

Last night my friends and I went to see these performers at Kingsbury Hall. They were called The Peking Acrobats. And all I can say it sensational. I have never been so entertained for 2 hours. As you can see from the pictures they do some pretty amazing things. At times I would get so nervous that I would be holding my breath and not even realize it. And I know from trying to explain it to people today that there is no way for you to know just how cool it was without you being there. But take my word for it. They were FANTASTIC!!!

Girls Lunch

Last Friday all the girls in my family got together for a girls lunch. It was so fun to see everyone and catch up. And Even though I had just seen Graham Cracker I know he had gotten even bigger! He is too cute with those dimples:)

Bag Tag

I was "Bag Tagged" by Lindsay. As you can tell I really didn't clean out my bag before. But it was a great reason to after!!!

I tag Ashleigh, Shellie, Jessica, Megan J, and Nicole! Have Fun :)
