President Hinkley

What an amazing man! Since the passing of President Hinckley I have felt sad because he is gone but I can not help but feel a little happiness for this sweet man that he is in a better place with his sweet wife. I had the opportunity to go to the viewing this afternoon my Dad. What an amazing experience!

As I walked by the casket and saw this wonderful man lying there so peacefully. It occurred to me that he may not have been a physically large man but he truly was a spiritual giant. The things that he has been able to accomplish in his life are remarkable.

If you can I would recommend going to the viewing. It was such a great way to remember such a great man!!

The Gym....

So after I sprained my ankle in October I have been using the excuse that it is healing and I can't possibly exercise. However it is January, almost February, so I decided that it was time to bite the bullet. So, I braved the 25 degree weather and the blizzard conditions and headed to the 24 hour fitness by Trolley Square, I am told they have cuter boys. I may need to check out the Sugarhouse one to be sure, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I finally get to the gym and am getting situated on the elliptical, my favorite, when I realize that my iPOD was not charged. I think that is the worst thing that can happen to you at the gym, well maybe not the worst but it is pretty bad. So to sum up my first time back to the gym in months: it was the longest 30 min of my life, I couldn't take it much longer than that. I hope next time is better.

Oh Puff Coat...

I have the most amazing coat in the world. It is a black marmot puff coat that has never lead me astray. We have been through the coldest of winters together, Rexburg winters to be exact, and I have yet to be cold. Most of the time I never even have to zip it up. My only complaint about my amazing coat is that it isn't very flattering and it makes me look like ginormous black marshmallow.

So I decided that this winter was going to be different and I was going to wear cute coats. I was doing pretty well. I was wearing this great green coat and was doing fine until this last cold front blew through and the temperatures didn't go above freezing all week. So I started wearing the puff.

And oh how I have missed it. I know longer dread going to class in the morning and walking miles in the cold. I'm no longer shivering when I arrive in class and i can still feel my body. So I'll I can say is that I'm sad i know longer look cute when i'm outside but I am not sorry that I am always so warm. I love my puff coat! :)

Christmas Pictures

So in the process of creating my other post I found a bunch of fun pictures from Christmas with the Family and I couldn't resist showing off how cute my nieces and nephews are!!!

1st Real Post

So after a few reminders from Ashleigh that I had not really posted anything on my new blog I decided to finally post something.

Here are some pictures from tonight. Once a month I get together with all the people that I trained for the marathon with. They are such a fun bunch of people and we always have such a fun time! Tonight we went to the Rio Grande Restaurant located in the old Rio Grande train station by gate way. I didn't even know it existed. It was delicious. But hey, me and Mexican food ALWAYS get along. Supposedly the train station is haunted. So if your name isn't Megan Bluth then check out this link. It's pretty interesting, A little piece of Salt Lake History you never new: http://riograndecafe.ypguides.net/page/nqep/The_Purple_Lady.html.
